Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 230×200 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with white color shade. Now make a new layer and draw an orange circle with #FD8F00 color shade and 121 px 121 px dimensions.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, and Gradient Overlay blending options to your orange circle layer.

Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Webdings, 80 pt, smooth and white color shade. In a new text layer type ‘+’ which should be a unique power illustration, position it on the center and rotate it through Edit > Transform.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options to the unique power illustration text layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Soft Light.

Robot Mascot Design

Preview:

Robot Mascot.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 500×360 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a black color. Now make a new layer set called ‘Head Design’.

Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool, above your screen under the options palette choose Fill Pixels, set the radius to 20px and check anti-aliased. Now create a new layer then draw a small rounded rectangle with #0070AA color shade and 42×52 px dimensions.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your small rounded rectangle layer.

Step 3:

Select the Poly Tool, above your screen under the options palette select Fill Pixels, sides 3 and check anti-aliased. Then under the Polygon Options palette select Smooth Corners. Now in a new layer draw a polygon with 62 x 61 px dimensions and #0070AAcolor shade.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your polygon layer.

Step 5:

Create a new layer then draw a small black polygon with 36 x 34 px dimensions.

Step 6:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your small black polygon layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten.

Step 7:

In a new layer draw a small black circle on the bottom end of the polygon design.

Step 8:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your small black circle layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Soft Light.

Step 9:

Duplicate the small circle design layer twice and position it as shown below. That should complete the head structure, now highlight the ‘Head Design’ layer set on your Layers window then go to Layer > Merge Layer Set.

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your Head Design layer.

Now add the eyes, in a new layer draw two white ellipse using the Ellipse Tool. Then set the layer’s opacity level to 21%.

Step 11:

Create a new layer then draw two small black circles on the eye parts and draw a small white circle for the nose. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Soft Light.

Step 12:

Create a new layer then draw gray rounded rectangle with #707070 color shade and 50 x 91 px dimensions.

Step 13:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Satin and Gradient Overlay blending options to your gray rounded rectangle layer.

Step 14:

Create a new layer then draw gray rounded rectangle with #707070 color shade and 50 x 91 px dimensions. Now set the layer’s blending mode to Soft Light and set the opacity level to 35%.

Step 15:

Create a new layer then draw a small white circle with 26 x 26px dimensions, make sure the layer is under the body design layers.

Step 16:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow blending option to your small white circle layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Darken.

Now duplicate the circle design from step 15-16 twice and position them as shown below.

Step 18:

Create a new layer and draw a black ellipse on the center of the head.

Step 19:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Outer Glow and Inner Glow blending options to your black ellipse layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten.

Sleek Photoshop Header Design

Sleek Header Design.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 1000×365 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a white color. Now select the Rounded Rectangle Tool, above your screen under the options palette choose Fill Pixels, set the radius to 20px and check anti-aliased. Then create a new layer and draw a large rounded rectangle with #0090FF color shade and 880×190 px dimensions.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your light blue rounded rectangle layer.

Step 3:

In a new layer draw a rounded rectangle with 90 x 36 px dimensions with #0079D7 color shade. Then cut the bottom corners as shown below.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your button rounded rectangle layer.

Step 5:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Arial, bold, 12 pt, crisp and white color shade. In a new text layer type the title of your first navigation interface.

Step 6:

In a new layer draw another half rounded tectangle tab but with a #E0E0E0 color shade.

Step 7:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your gray rounded rectangle tab layer.

Result:

Step 8:

Add the rest of your tabs for the rest of your navigation links.

Step 9:

Add a blue tab on the right end of your header design, you can add your rss feed link here.

Step 10:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Arial, italic, 36 pt, smooth. In a new text layer type out your website name above the navigation interface using #9DD2FF and #DADADA color shades. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option.

Step 11:

Now set the font family to Wingdings, 60 pt, smooth and #DADADA color shade. In a new text layer type “!” which should be a Pencil illustration, position it next to your name and add the same gradient overlay blending option from step ten. Then finish it off with a light shadow as shown below.

Wordpress Theme Design in Photoshop

Preview:

Winter Theme Template Design.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 1000×1000 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a white color. Now grab the Stock Photo used on the background and insert it into your canvas.

Step 2:

Now make a new layer set titled ‘Navigation Interface’. Then in a new layer draw a white rectangle with 93 x 50 px dimensions by the mountain on the stock photo.

Step 3:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your white rectangle layer.

In a new layer draw long black rectangle with 907 x 50 px dimensions

Step 5:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your long black rectangle layer. Then set the layer’s opacity level to 50%.

Step 6:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Arial, regular, 14 pt, crisp and white color shade. In a new text layer type Home on the white rectangle design then in a seperate text layer add the rest of your navigation on long rectangle design.

Step 7:

On the right end of your navigation interface add your RSS Feed link and search box.

Step 8:

Now make a new layer set titled ‘Content Box’. Then in a new layer draw a long black rectangle with 623 x 29 px dimensions just below your header design. Then set the layer’s opacity level to 43%.

Step 9:

In a new text layer type out the title of your content box using font Verdana, bold, 12 pt, none and #B20000 color shade.

Step 10:

Create a new layer. Below your content title draw a large rectangle with #E6E6E6 color shade and 623 x 250 px dimensions.

Step 11:

Now draw a lighter gray rectangle right below the content title box. Then add the post details using font arial, regular, 11 pt, none and black color shade for text and #FF0000 color shade for links.

Step 12:

If you want more content box just duplicate the ‘Content Box’ layer set.

Step 13:

For the sidebar use a large font with #B00000 color shade for the title of each section.

Step 14:

Right below the body add your footer, in a new layer draw a red rectangle with #B00000 color shade across the bottom of your canvas.

Step 15:

Now draw two 1px lines with #D80000 color shade right by the top edge of the red footer design then another right below.

Step 16:

Finish the footer section with your navigation links on the left side and the copyright info on the right.

Step 17:

Back on the header design add your website name using font Arial, bold, 24 pt, strong and black color shade. Then set the text layer’s opacity level to 21%.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 950×400 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a black color. Now make a new layer set titled ‘Metallic Design’.

Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool, above your screen under the options palette choose Fill Pixels, set the radius to 20px and check anti-aliased. Then create a new layer and draw a gray rounded rectangle with #6F6F6F color shade and 200×210 px dimensions.

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Inner Glow, Satin and Gradient Overlay blending options to your gray rounded rectangle layer.

Step 3:

In a new layer draw a smaller rounded rectangle with 186 x 22 px dimensions, position it as shown below.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your smaller rounded rectangle layer.

Step 5:

Now duplicate the smaller metallic rounded rectangle layer 3 times and stack them as shown below.

Step 6:

Duplicate your ‘Metallic Design’ layer set then go to Layer > Merge Layer Set. The duplicate should turn into a regular layer, cut the right corners off and stretch it to your right canvas. Now position the longer metallic design next to the smaller design.

Step 7:

Make a rectangle marquee selection on your metallic design layer then go to Edit > Copy and back to Edit > Paste, you should now have a new layer with the metallic rectangle shape. Now go to Edit > Transform > Perspective, drag the top right transform points on the metalic rectangle shape up so the shape transform as shown below.

Step 8:

Duplicate the metallic shape from step seven and flip it horizontal through Edit > Transform.

Step 9:

In a new layer draw a thin black rounded rectangle with 8 x 212 px dimensions.

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Satin blending option to your black rounded rectangle layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Soft Light.

Step 11:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Arial, bold, 15 pt, none and white color shade. In a new text layer type out your navigation links on the stretched metallic design.

Now add shadows to the whole design, first add a marquee selection around your entire metallic header design then go to Edit > Copy Merged then Paste. You should now have a new layer with the whole metallic header design, set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten and flip it Vertical through Edit > Transform. Then move the design down as shown below.

Step 13:

Grab the eraser tool and set the brush setting to a large soft brush. Now erase the bottom half of the shadow design then apply a motion blur through Filter > Blur > Motion Blur, use 90 degree angle with 37 pixels distance.

Photoshop Facial Skin Peel

Unique Skin Peel Off Photo Effect.

Step 1:

Start out with a new file and insert the photo you want to add the skin peel off effect on. In this tutorial we use a close up of a female with glasses below.

Step 2:

Select your Pen Tool, above your screen under the options palette choose Paths with the rest on default. Now make a new layer and create a random path lines on the cheeks of the female.

Then right click on the canvas and choose Fill Path, fill the path with a black color shade.

Step 3:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Outer Glow, Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your black shape layer from last step. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Soft Light.

Step 4:

Now add a marquee selection around your black shape through Select > Load Selection, default settings. Then copy the selection through Edit > Copy and paste it on your canvas so a new layer with the skin appears.

Step 5:

Now Flip Horizontal the new skin layer through Edit > Transform. Then position it next to the outlined skin design as shown below.

Step 6:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay and blending options to your skin layer.

Create a new layer and draw a small black rectangle between the skin designs. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option. Now set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten.

Step 8:

Now add more metallic pieces as shown below to finish off the design.

Abstract Flame Design In Photoshop

Preview:

‘Red Flames’ Abstract Design.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 900×600 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a black color. Now select the Polygon Tool, above your screen under the options palette choose Fill Pixels, set sides to 3 and check anti-aliased. Then open up the Polygon Options palette and use the settings below.

In a new layer draw a large 3 pointed red star, set your settings or use #FF0C00 color shade with 334 x 300 px dimensions.

Step 2:

Go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur, apply the settings below.

Result:

Step 3:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your red shape design layer.

Result:

Step 4:

Duplicate your red shape layer and create a new layer, merge both of this layers so the layer styles on the red shape layer becomes permanent. Now go to Edit > Transform > Perspective, drag the top right transform points to the left so the shape stretches to the top. Then set the layer’s opacity level to 35%.

Step 5:

Once again add another copy of the red shape design above all the designs. Then set the layer’s opacity level to 85%.

Step 6:

Now duplicate your red shape design with perspective from step four then rotate it by 90 degrees CW through Edit > Transform.

Step 7:

Cut the bottom half of the red shape design from last step. Then position it on the bottom left corner of your canvas.

Now duplicate the half red shape and rotate it randomly through Edit > Transform > Rotation, position it as shown below.

Step 8:

Add the same designs on the opposite end of your canvas.

Step 9:

Add a marquee selection around your canvas and go to Edit > Copy Merged. Then go back to Edit > Paste, a new layer with your red flame design should appear on your canvas. Now go to Filter > Pixelate > Crystallized, apply the settings below.

Result:

Step 10:

Move your crystallized design layer down by couple of pixels. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten at 55% opacity level.

Step 11:

Once again copy merged your canvas like on step 9 and apply a motion blur filter using the settings below. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten at 55% opacity level.

Step 12:

Finish it off with more motion blur designs at the bottom of your canvas.

Creating Navigation in Photoshop

Glossy Navigation Interface for Media Sites.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 900×100 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a white color. Now select the Rounded Rectangle Tool, above your screen under the options palette choose Fill Pixels, set the radius to 8px and check anti-aliased. Then create a new layer and draw a long rounded rectangle with #A7A7A7 color shade and 840×40 px dimensions.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Satin and Gradient Overlay blending options to your gray rounded rectangle layer.

Step 3:

Make a new layer set and name it Nav Button. In a new layer draw a rounded rectangle with 140 x 40 px dimensions and #7B7B7B color shade. Then cut the bottom corners off so the shape is straight at the bottom.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your gray button layer.

Step 5:

Create a new layer and draw a 1px line with #8D8D8D color shade on the center of your button design. Now select the Horizontal Type Tool, set the font family to Arial Black, bold,14 pt, none and white color shade. Then in a new text layer type your first navigation link.

Step 6:

Now add the rest of your navigation links with its own button design.

Step 7:

Below your navigation buttons leave a space for your search form..

Step 8:

Now select the Horizontal Type Tool, set the font family to Arial Black, 12 pt, crisp and white color shade. In a new text layer type ‘GO’, this will be the search button. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Stroke blending option.

Eve Robot from Wall-E

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 300×300 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a light gray gradient. Now with your Ellipse Tool draw a gray ellipse with #BEBCBD color shade and 56 x 113 px dimensions.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Satin, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your gray ellipse layer.

Step 3:

In a new layer make another ellipse with #EDEDED color shade and 14 x 82 px dimensions.

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Satin, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your gray ellipse layer.

Result:

Step 4:

On the layers palette place your second ellipse layer behind the first one. Now move the second ellipse on the right side as shown below. Then duplicate the ellipse design and position it on the opposite end.

Step 5:

Now create the head, in a new layer draw an ellipse with #BEBCBD color shade and 53 x 43 px dimensions.

Step 6:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your head design layer.

Step 7:

In a new layer draw a black ellipse on the center of the head.

Step 8:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your black ellipse layer.

Result:

Step 9:

Now add glowing eyes, in a new layer draw small ellipse with #0067BD color shade.

Step 10:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your first eye design layer.

Result:

Step 11:

Add the other eye by duplicating the first one.

Step 12:

For the shadow we use the brush tool with a 32px soft brush. In a new layer brush a black spot below your robot mascot. Then go to Edit > Transform > Perspective, when the transform points appear on your black spot drag the bottom left points so the black spot expands. Finish it off by setting the black spot layer’s opacity level to 20%.

Concept Web Logo Design

Concept Web Logo Design.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 1200×400 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a black color. Now select the Brush Tool and set the brush to a 200 px soft brush. Then in a new layer brush a blue spot with #2A8EC6 color shade.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your blue colored spot layer.

Result:

Step 3:

In a new layer draw a large white circle covering your blue spot design.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your white circle layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Darken.

Result:

Step 5:

Now add a marquee selection around your current concept design. Then go to Edit > Copy Merged and go back to Edit > Paste, a new layer with the circle design should appear on your canvas.

Step 6:

Resize the circle shape layer from step five to about 50%. Then erase the all of the outer parts of the circle design.

Step 7:

Take the bowl like design layer from step six and rotate it through Edit > Transform. Position it as shown below.

Step 8:

Now duplicate the bowl like shape design again and position it as shown below. We want that unique shape to form on the center of the circle so use the rotation setting to get the exact look. Then add a smaller bowl like shape between the two.

Step 9:

On the center of your concept logo add two smaller bowl design layer with a lower opacity level facing each other.

Step 10:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Century Schoolbook, bold, 90 pt, smooth and #15567B color shade. In a new text layer type your website name next to the logo.

Step 11:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your text layer.
