Step 1:
Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 1000×365 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a white color. Now select the Rounded Rectangle Tool, above your screen under the options palette choose Fill Pixels, set the radius to 20px and check anti-aliased. Then create a new layer and draw a large rounded rectangle with #0090FF color shade and 880×190 px dimensions.

Step 2:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your light blue rounded rectangle layer.

Step 3:
In a new layer draw a rounded rectangle with 90 x 36 px dimensions with #0079D7 color shade. Then cut the bottom corners as shown below.

Step 4:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your button rounded rectangle layer.

Step 5:
Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Arial, bold, 12 pt, crisp and white color shade. In a new text layer type the title of your first navigation interface.

Step 6:
In a new layer draw another half rounded tectangle tab but with a #E0E0E0 color shade.

Step 7:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your gray rounded rectangle tab layer.

Step 8:
Add the rest of your tabs for the rest of your navigation links.

Step 9:
Add a blue tab on the right end of your header design, you can add your rss feed link here.

Step 10:
Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Arial, italic, 36 pt, smooth. In a new text layer type out your website name above the navigation interface using #9DD2FF and #DADADA color shades. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option.

Step 11:
Now set the font family to Wingdings, 60 pt, smooth and #DADADA color shade. In a new text layer type “!” which should be a Pencil illustration, position it next to your name and add the same gradient overlay blending option from step ten. Then finish it off with a light shadow as shown below.
