‘Red Flames’ Abstract Design.
Step 1:
Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 900×600 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a black color. Now select the Polygon Tool, above your screen under the options palette choose Fill Pixels, set sides to 3 and check anti-aliased. Then open up the Polygon Options palette and use the settings below.

In a new layer draw a large 3 pointed red star, set your settings or use #FF0C00 color shade with 334 x 300 px dimensions.

Step 2:
Go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur, apply the settings below.

Result:

Step 3:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your red shape design layer.

Result:

Step 4:
Duplicate your red shape layer and create a new layer, merge both of this layers so the layer styles on the red shape layer becomes permanent. Now go to Edit > Transform > Perspective, drag the top right transform points to the left so the shape stretches to the top. Then set the layer’s opacity level to 35%.

Step 5:
Once again add another copy of the red shape design above all the designs. Then set the layer’s opacity level to 85%.

Step 6:
Now duplicate your red shape design with perspective from step four then rotate it by 90 degrees CW through Edit > Transform.

Step 7:
Cut the bottom half of the red shape design from last step. Then position it on the bottom left corner of your canvas.

Now duplicate the half red shape and rotate it randomly through Edit > Transform > Rotation, position it as shown below.

Step 8:
Add the same designs on the opposite end of your canvas.

Step 9:
Add a marquee selection around your canvas and go to Edit > Copy Merged. Then go back to Edit > Paste, a new layer with your red flame design should appear on your canvas. Now go to Filter > Pixelate > Crystallized, apply the settings below.

Result:

Step 10:
Move your crystallized design layer down by couple of pixels. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten at 55% opacity level.

Step 11:
Once again copy merged your canvas like on step 9 and apply a motion blur filter using the settings below. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten at 55% opacity level.

Step 12:
Finish it off with more motion blur designs at the bottom of your canvas.
